Cerussite, Elura Mine, Cobar, New South Wales
Specimen is 2 cm across

Cerussite, Elura Mine The Elura Mine is famous for the beautiful specimens of native silver and green mimetite.

Mimetite was the dominant lead mineral at this locality with crystals up to 2.5 cm across. Well-formed crystals of cerussite were less common, forming delicate reticulated specimens reminiscent of those at Broken Hill.
