Out of print. The Australian Mineralogist was originally published as a series of articles in the Australian Gem and Crafts magazine. The first issue of Australian Mineralogist was in December 1975/January 1976 of the magazine, and continued for 51 issues. In 1988, Gemcraft published these articles as a single publication - Australian Mineralogist Vol 1, Nos. 1-51. It was agreed that there was a need for an ongoing Australian mineral publication aimed primarily at collectors. In 1985 the first issue (Volume 2) was published. Problems in getting suitable articles heralded the demise of Australian Mineralogist in 1990.
